TeAchnology.com provides free and easy to use resources for teachers.  There are many freebies available, such as: 28,000 lesson plans; 6,600 printable worksheets, games, downloads, teaching tips and themes, preformatted rubrics, printable generators, reviewed sites, and more.  For $30.00 a year, they also offer many more worksheets and other helps.  They offer many free rubrics which are organized by subject and category.  For example, if you have difficulty assessing your child’s writing ability, check out the rubrics for language arts.

The Story Starter provides 345,935,040 creative ideas for writers of all ages. All of the story starters are randomly generated. The story starters can be used for short stories, novels, plays, scripts, or just for fun. With a click of a button (and the help of the internet) your 6th-12th graders have access to a ton of new writing ideas.
