Teaching w/the Brain in Mind (12 days of Christmas, 2 days)

By: Delana S

Another book that I picked up to add to my resource library came highly recommended to me by an education consultant: Teaching with the Brain in Mind by Eric Jensen. From the table of contents, this book will teach us about the developing brain and how we learn and remember. The author gives some background into brain research, including what is being done today in this field of study. Other chapters that look especially interesting to me include: “How threats and stress affect learning, Motivation and Rewards, and Memory and Recall.” The last one supposedly provides information regarding why students don’t remember more of what they are taught…and how to make learning last.

I look forward to reading this book early next year and sharing my insights with you. If you’ve already read this book, feel free to leave a comment below.

From Amazon in book or Kindle versions.
