In order to do effective work in college, it is essential that all students have the following academic competencies.
The Reading, Writing, Math and Speaking and Listening Skills, in the article The Basic Academic Competencies Needed for College Students, are based on the 2010 Revised Government Core Standards for College Entry/Career Readiness Skills based on the U.S, Dept. of Education’s “Blueprint for Reform.”
