Care and Keeping of You–becoming an adolescent girl

By: Delana H. Stewart

If you have a daughter aged 9-12, you may be interested in purchasing the book The Care and Keeping of You: The Body Book for Girls. It is a fun and colorful guide dealing with the following topics: hair and skin care, bras and the developing body, nutrition and eating disorders, periods, fitness, rest, and sleep troubles. This book was written directly for the pre-teen girl to read, though I recommend parents read it first and be available to add to what the book offers.

It is available from Amazon for less than $10.

  1. Very interesting book, I’ve been writing somethings about this topic too. It is and can be an eye opening experience for some parents. If you are not there for them, “someone” will be. Keep them close to you, always.
